Mosiuoa kicked out of parliament

 Congress of the People (Cope) leader Mosiuoa Lekota was was kicked out of the National Assembly chamber after refusing to withdraw remarks he made in the House last week.

This comes after Lekota accused President Jacob Zuma of violating his oath of office during a presidency budget vote debate last Wednesday.

He stated that President Zuma did not uphold his oath of office in failing to stand up for the constitutional rights of Goodman Gallery director Liza Essers City Press editor Ferial Haffajee and artist Brett Murray to express themselves freely.
 

Lekota made the allegation in relation with Haffajee's final agreement to have Murry artwork which depicted Zuma with his genitals exposed, removed an image of the painting from the newspaper's website.

Parliament's Deputy Speaker, Nomaindia Mfeketo today ordered to Lekota leave the house.

While Lekota was leaving, members of the Democratic Allience also walked out of the house in protest against a ruling to have the cope leader out.
