TUT’S Latin and ballroom couple are optimistic and confident that they will bring back more medals and gold trophies in this year’s Interprovincial dance competition.

The competition will be taking place this weekend in Secunda in Mpumalanga. Hundreds of different dance groups and schools from as young as junior level to professional are expect to take the centre stage.

Keamogetswe and Sipho Maluleke, whose partnership started this year and are now on level three with more than four trophies under their belt say that the competition’s pressure will not be a problem for them.
“Whether there will be more than hundred or thousand dancers in the same category as us, we are100% sure that we will reach the final leg because we have been training every hard everyday.”
The couple believes that they have the “the secret” winning formula.

“It’s not only the ability to dance that is important but also commitment, perseverance and respect and tolerance for your partner are more important. Whatever they teach you, you just have to memorise and remember it and also put it in practise. Because dancing is not all about the choreography but it is also about the technic. With us we have all that in check.”

The couple’s words of wisdom and motivation to fellow dancers is that “they should always be patient and never give up and they should always aim high”.
