Chiefs star Punch Masenamela, Ajax Cape Town star Thulani Serero and Wits player Bhongolwethu Jayiya have been included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the African Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt in Cairo on June 5.
The squad will assemble on Sunday, but Steven Pienaar, Happy Jele and Andile Jali will join their teammates later
Bafana Bafana are ranked 38th in the world, moving just one spot from the 39th position they occupied last month. South Africa is now fourth on the continent – swopping places with Nigeria who fall to fifth place.
Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt retained the top three positions.
