Manchester United star Wayne Rooney's wife became involved in a heated Twitter war after one of her followers referred to the famous striker as "ugly" and a "cheating husband".

An onslaught of insults on the social media network was sparked after Coleen Rooney posted a photograph of herself and Wayne at a pub as they celebrated Manchester United winning the title last month.
Coleen, 25, did not mince her words in an immediate retaliation after a woman described her in a tweet as "orange" - a reference to her fondness for a spray tan.
The user, Trickehvickeh, taunted: "Look how orange yu are n how ugly ya rich cheating husband is!"
Rooney was embroiled in a sex scandal last year when a prostitute claimed that he on several occasions paid her for sex.
Coleen responded: "Just seen ur profile pic!! Are u feeling OK cause ur face looks very pale to ur body" - then added the hashtag "#dog".
Another user, DrPeterVenkman1, attempted to fuel the discussion: " . did you call her a dog? she's hardly a dog love. just cus she's not orange tanned and wrinkly."
Coleen - who has 181000 followers - hit back: "Weren't talking to you!"
