I dated a guy I met on Facebook, we dated for 2 months but I will cherish my relationship with him. He called me several times a day to remind me how beautiful and amazing I was.
He took the time to involve me in his life. I met all his friends and accompanied him to social events. He had a lot of fun together. We were inseparate.
He treated me like a queen so I was comfortable enough to tell open up to him. I discovered things about myself and grew so much in that short space of time.
He did for me what other boyfriends had not done before. He also taught me about standards and honesty and the importance of valuing myself.
We broke up because I was still hung up on my ex. I punished him for things that had nothing to do with him.
The lesson here is simple – you can’t move on with your life until you’ve let go of the past. He got back together with his ex. They’re expecting their first born and are moving in together. I kick myself sometimes because once upon a time, he wanted to share those things with me.
I’ve become a better person because of my error of judgement. I can’t wait to meet a guy who will sweep me off my feet. The guy who will respect me and adore me only the way that I know I deserve.
