The support and well-wishes continue to pour in for rapper Lil Wayne after a report surfaced that the rapper was in critical condition following a string of seizures he had suffered earlier this week.
The music mogul wasn't the only celeberity to visit Wayne, last night Drake and NBA star Chris Paul were both separately photographed leaving the hospital as well. Birdman, a rapper and co-founder of Cash Money Records to which Lil Wayne is also signed, tweeted: “My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta…be home soon.”
The rap star was reported to be in "critical condition" when he was rushed to Cedars Sinai hospital on Friday evening. But Mack Maine, head of the Young Money record label to which Wayne is signed, ealier dismissed a reports that Grammy-winning rapper Wayne, 30 clings to life after a suspected sizzurp binge.
Sizzurp is an addictive concoction that gets the user high, made by combining prescription-strength cough syrup with sugary sodas like Mountain Dew or Coca-Cola, to which hard candies like Jolly Ranchers are added for more flavor. It's typically sipped out of Styrofoam cups.
Maine, , tweeted: “Dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe … that’s false!!”
Initially it was reported that Wayne was in critical condition after suffering from seizures and had to have his stomach pumped because doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system. It was even reported that the rapper was being "being prepared for his last rites."
