The lowdown
"Back in March Lady Gaga reportedly invited SA rap group Die Antwoord to go on tour with her -- an invitation the band quickly turned down with a "No, no. Don't worry about it. No thanks." Die Antwoord also equated Gaga's music with "weak, superficial s--t."

Now the duo, made up of Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er (with the occasional appearance of third group member DJ Hi-Tek), have taken their Lady Gaga-hate a step further. Die Antwoord has released a music video for "Fatty Boom Boom," the latest single off of the band's second studio album, "Ten$ion." The album was released in February so while the single most likely wasn't written with Gaga in mind, the controversial rockers capitalized on Mother Monster's recent weight gain to make her the subject of the aptly titled "Fatty Boom Boom" video.
The video depicts a very obvious Gaga-lookalike (played by a man) arriving in Africa wearing the infamous meat dress. She does some light sightseeing before experiencing a hijacking, being shot at, birthing a leech, and finally being eaten by a lion. Needless to say, the video is pretty graphic and makes no mistake of expressing the band's disdain for Lady Gaga."
What happens in the vid
"It begins with a tour operator, played by comedian David Kibuuka, saying "Welcome to Africa lady", which then shows a Lady Gaga lookalike in her infamous meat dress embarking on an African tour in a minibus taxi.
From hyenas eating garbage to a black panther and a lion 'chilling' on the street, 'Lady Gaga' gets the whole tour, and even gets hijacked after passing by Die Antwoord as they set up to perform on the pavement.
As in their video for I Fink U Freeky, in which they reference Jane Alexander's The Butcher Boys, this video includes another reference to South African art with a scene based on comics artist Anton Kannemeyer's Black Gynaecologist, played by comedian Kagiso Lediga.
In true Die Antwoord style, Yo-Landi takes fashion to a new level with a blackface and a dress made of Chappies wrappers, while Ninja sports body paint and black contact lenses."
Lady Gaga is due to perform in South Africa at the end of November. Tour details.
