Two ZARfest shows called off
Poor ticket sales have forced controversial nightclub owner Kenny Kunene to cancel the Durban and Cape Town legs of the ZARfest tour, which features top hip-hop producer and performer Timbaland.
Kunene - co-owner of nightclub chain ZAR Lounge, who courts controversy by eating sushi off the bodies of half-naked models - said the two shows were called off because Durban and Cape Town fans had not responded well.
The ZARfest tour forms part of the clubs' first birthday celebrations.
"[Cancelling the two shows] was purely a business decision," he said.
Timbaland, R&B singer Ciara, hip-hop star Lil' Kim and rapper Fat Joe had already arrived in Durban for today's performance.
